Cookie Policy
1What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. “Similar technologies”, such as your browser’s local storage and session storage, work in the same way and are covered by the same rules (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended).
2How we use them
Under PECR you must be told about, and asked to agree to, cookies and similar technologies, unless they are strictly necessary to provide something you have asked for. Everything we currently use falls into that exempt category, so your consent is not required. We do not set any cookies or storage for advertising, analytics, profiling or social media tracking.
| Where | Name | Purpose | Type & lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public portal pages (lmgnexus.co.uk) | None. The public pages set no cookies and store nothing in your browser. | ||
| Client sign-in (client area and shop) | Supabase sign-in session (stored in local storage, named like sb-…-auth-token) | Keeps you signed in to your account. Signs you out automatically after a period of inactivity. | Strictly necessary. Stays until sign-out, inactivity or the session expires. |
| Administrator sign-in (owner only) | Supabase sign-in session (stored in local storage, named like sb-…-auth-token) | Keeps the site owner signed in and secure. | Strictly necessary. Stays until sign-out or the session expires. |
| LMG Photography (owner) | lmg_photo_session | Keeps the site owner signed in. | Strictly necessary. Until sign-out or expiry. |
| LMG Photography | lmg_theme, lmg_layout, lmg_photo_home, lmg_slide_secs | Remember your choices: light or dark appearance, album layout, home view and slideshow speed. | User-requested preference (exempt). Stays until you clear site data. |
| LMG Photography share links | lmg_pw_… (session storage) | Remembers a passcode you entered so the album stays open while you view it. | Strictly necessary. Removed when you close the tab. |
3Third-party content
The LMG Photography site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, and the sign-in pages load a software library from the jsDelivr network. These providers may see your IP address when those files load, but they do not set advertising or tracking cookies through our pages as far as we are aware. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4Managing cookies and storage
You can block or delete cookies and site data at any time in your browser settings (for example, “Clear browsing data” or “Site settings”). The public pages will work normally. Blocking strictly necessary storage may stop sign-in or remembered settings from working on the private areas. Helpful guidance is available at allaboutcookies.org and ico.org.uk.
5If this changes
If we later add anything that is not strictly necessary, such as analytics or embedded third-party content that sets cookies, we will ask for your consent before it is used and update this policy.
